The Two Lights
Jalil Hazzan is the founding Emperor of the Aurionic Empire, a vast dominion forged through conquest, diplomacy, and calculated bloodline integration. A devout follower of Aurion, Lord of the Light, Jalil rules with a belief that unity under a single divine truth is both destiny and necessity.
Unlike his predecessors—warriors driven by vengeance or survival—Jalil is remembered as something far more dangerous: a strategist of civilization itself. Where others saw kingdoms, he saw pieces of a single design.
Born on Zenith 8, 61 AH, in the Hazzan Kingdom, Jalil Hazzan rose from a war-born prince to the architect of the most powerful empire of his age. Known across the world by titles such as The Sun Emperor, Warden of the Wall, and Architect of the Eternal Unity, Jalil is both revered and feared as a ruler who reshaped the political, religious, and cultural order of an entire continent.
Jalil was born into war.
The son of King Tariq Hazzan, he entered the world during the height of the First Maurim War, a conflict that would define his childhood. His father, crowned at seventeen after the death of Jalil’s grandfather in battle, raised him not in peace, but in a kingdom forged through constant struggle.
From an early age, Jalil was exposed to the realities of leadership—loss, sacrifice, and the burden of legacy. By fifteen, he was already bound in political marriage to Noor Qibaa, cementing an alliance that had been arranged since her birth.
At sixteen, he joined his father on the battlefield.
At eighteen, he became king.
Jalil’s ascension in 79 AH marked a turning point not only for Hazzan, but for the entire known world.
Within months of taking the throne, he achieved what his father could not—he crushed the Maurim Kingdom in a decisive campaign. Yet rather than annihilate his enemies, Jalil began to reveal the strategy that would define his reign:
He integrated them.
Through marriage to Princess Elena Walid, he secured Maurim’s loyalty while preserving its economic strength. This marked the beginning of a pattern—conquest followed by assimilation, domination followed by unity.
But Jalil’s rise was not without shadows. The assassination of King Hassan Walid and the elevation of Rodrigo Walid as Regent demonstrated that while Jalil preferred order, he was not above allowing—or benefiting from—calculated instability when it served his vision.
Over the next several years, Jalil transformed a kingdom into an empire.
Jalil’s conquest of Auroreline was as symbolic as it was strategic. By subjugating the most culturally refined kingdom in the East and marrying Princess Juliette Beauregard, he claimed not only land, but legitimacy. He proved that the “Desert Sun” could eclipse the “Dawn.”
Rather than wage war, Jalil reconciled with his western kin, offering King Haitham of Ubaris a place at his side. This marked the Empire’s first expansion through diplomacy, healing a generational rift within the Hazzan bloodline.
Recognizing his army’s weakness in the frozen south, Jalil chose pragmatism over pride. He allowed Nottgard to retain its faith in Vetr, forging an alliance through necessity and a future marriage pact between their children.
In one of the most legendary moments of his reign, Jalil personally dueled King Viktoras during a lightning storm. By surviving—and mastering—the storm itself, he earned the loyalty of a kingdom that respected only strength.
Faced with the Great Blight, Jalil encountered his first true limitation: he could not conquer nature. Instead, he offered autonomy in exchange for survival, forming a sacred pact with Queen Morrigan that preserved both her kingdom and his empire.
Jalil’s rule is defined by a singular philosophy: unity through design.
His empire is not held together by force alone, but by an intricate web of marriages, alliances, and succession planning. Each of his children is positioned to rule or influence a different region, ensuring that the Empire’s future remains bound to his bloodline.
To his followers, Jalil is a divine instrument—chosen by Aurion to bring order to a fractured world.
To his critics, he is something far more unsettling: a man who does not merely conquer lands, but erases the very idea of separation.
Jalil Hazzan is often described as calm, calculating, and unshakable. He does not rule through rage or excess, but through certainty. Every decision—whether merciful or ruthless—serves a greater design only he fully understands.
He is a man who:
Spares enemies to use them later
Marries for power, not affection
Respects strength, regardless of origin
Believes faith is both weapon and foundation
By 96 AH, at the age of thirty-five, Jalil stands at the height of his power. His empire spans seven kingdoms, his bloodline is embedded across every throne, and his vision of unity is closer than ever to completion.
Yet beneath the surface, tensions remain—cultural resistance, religious conflict, and the ever-present question:
Can a world forged into one truly remain whole?
