Beniman Qorash,

Master of War

Imperial General • Aurionic General • Anurator

Overview

Beniman Qorash serves as Master of War, the supreme military authority of the Aurionic Empire and the commander of its vast and disciplined armies.

Unlike many who occupy positions of power, Beniman was not born into nobility. His rise is a direct result of merit, battlefield excellence, and the recognition of Emperor Jalil Hazzan—who saw in him not just a soldier, but a commander capable of reshaping the Empire’s military structure.

To the legions, he is strength.

To his enemies, he is inevitability.

To the Empire, he is the blade that never hesitates.

Biography

Birth and Lineage

Born on Zenith 4, 46 AH, in the Hazzan Kingdom, Beniman Qorash rose from the ranks of common soldiers to become one of the most feared and respected military leaders in the Aurionic Empire. Bearing titles such as Imperial General, Legate, and Master of War, he is the embodiment of Hazzan’s martial philosophy—discipline, endurance, and absolute efficiency in war.

Where emperors dream of conquest,

Beniman ensures it is won.

Early Life

Beniman was born into a common household, the son of Ebuka Qorash and Ifeoma Mehenni.

Like all boys of the Hazzan lands, his path began early. At the age of seven, he entered the barracks, beginning a life defined by discipline and preparation for war. His early training focused on endurance, obedience, and the foundational principles of combat.

From ages seven to fourteen, he was shaped into a soldier.

At fifteen, he chose to become something more.

Rejecting a simpler path, Beniman committed himself fully to the military, entering advanced training that demanded mastery of tactics, survival, and leadership. He distinguished himself quickly—not through words, but through performance.

He did not stand out because he spoke.

He stood out because he survived.

Rise Through the Ranks

By the age of twenty, Beniman had already proven himself in multiple engagements, earning the rank of Centurion.

As a Centurion, he commanded one hundred soldiers and led from the front—fighting alongside his men rather than behind them. He became known as a battle-hardened leader, one who understood both the cost of war and the necessity of victory.

At twenty-eight, in 74 AH, his career reached a turning point.

He was elevated to the rank of Legatus, commanding five thousand soldiers—an honor traditionally reserved for high-born nobles. The decision shattered convention, as Beniman was a man of no noble lineage.

The appointment came through the influence of Prince Jalil Hazzan, who overruled established custom after recognizing Beniman’s unmatched battlefield merit. King Tariq supported the decision, but the choice sent ripples through the kingdom.

For the first time, a commoner stood among the highest commanders of war.

Beniman did not waste the opportunity.

The Soldier Chosen by a King

When Jalil ascended the throne in 79 AH, one of his earliest actions was to remove the existing Master of War, citing failures that had contributed to his father’s death.

In a move that shocked the court, Jalil appointed Beniman Qorash as Master of War.

The decision was not political.
It was personal.

Jalil did not elevate Beniman because of loyalty to the crown—

but because of loyalty to competence.

From that moment, Beniman became the Empire’s supreme military authority, responsible for every legion, every campaign, and every strategy that defined its expansion.

Master of War

As Master of War, Beniman commands the entirety of the Aurionic military.

His responsibilities include:

  • Direct oversight of all imperial armies

  • Strategic planning and execution of campaigns

  • Military logistics, training, and discipline

  • Advising the Emperor on matters of war and expansion

He serves on the Small Council of the Emperor, where his voice carries decisive weight in matters of conflict.

Unlike many commanders, Beniman favors brutal efficiency—wars are not to be prolonged, battles not to be romanticized. Victory must be swift, decisive, and absolute.

To him, war is not glory.
It is function.

Alliances within Power

Within the Small Council, Beniman aligns closely with two key figures:

  • Ermias al-Karim, Hand of the Emperor, whose governance ensures the Empire functions

  • Eibhear Ó Durnan, Lord Commander of the Sun Guard, who represents the elite martial core of the throne

Together, they form a triad of stability, force, and execution—ensuring that imperial authority is not only declared, but enforced.

Personality and Beliefs

Beniman Qorash is hardened, disciplined, and unwavering in his purpose.

He does not indulge in politics, nor does he seek recognition beyond his role. His loyalty to Jalil Hazzan is deeply personal—not rooted in title, but in gratitude and respect.

Jalil saw him when no one else would.

And for that, Beniman serves him without hesitation.

He values:

  • Strength proven through action

  • Discipline above emotion

  • Results above tradition

He has little patience for inefficiency, arrogance, or weakness—especially among those born into privilege without earning it.

Legacy

Beniman Qorash represents a rare truth within the Aurionic Empire:

Power does not always come from blood. Sometimes, it is forged.

He is the Empire’s blade—unwavering, precise, and unrelenting.

If Jalil Hazzan is the architect of conquest,

and Ermias al-Karim the architect of governance,

then Beniman is the force that ensures both are possible.

He does not seek to rule.

He does not seek to be remembered.

But as long as the Empire marches,

it marches because men like him make it unstoppable.
