Born on Equinoxis 5, 85 AH, in the Coill Mór Kingdom, beneath the sacred balance of the turning seasons, Derwena came into the world on a day devoted to Foraoise, Keeper of the Forest.

Six years younger than the one she serves, Derwena was selected to become the companion and attendant to Crown Princess Rhiannon.
