Where others bring warmth or comfort,

Blathnaid brings order.

Biography

Birth and Lineage

Born on Maturis 22, 82 AH, in the quiet expanses of the Coill Mór Kingdom, Blathnaid entered the world alongside her twin, Fiad—but where her sister became softness, Blathnaid became structure.

She does not soothe the room.

She stabilizes it.

Early Life

Born to Luis and Fearn, and twin to Fiad, Blathnaid shares the same roots—but expresses them differently.

If Fiad reflects the gentle growth of the forest,

Blathnaid reflects its hidden structure.

The unseen roots.

The interlocking systems.

The quiet strength that keeps everything standing.

From an early age, she demonstrated a natural inclination toward organization, responsibility, and control—not out of compulsion, but out of understanding.

In Coill Mór, balance is everything.

Blathnaid ensures it is maintained.

A Presence Without Sound

Blathnaid moves through the world with deliberate silence.

Her steps are softened with thickened deer-hide, ensuring she disturbs neither rest nor concentration. Within the Hollow-Trunk Estates and later the chambers of the Palace of the Two Lights, her presence is often felt before it is seen—and sometimes not seen at all.

She does not interrupt.

She does not announce.

She arrives precisely where she is needed.

Keeper of the Princess’s Order

Among her many responsibilities, Blathnaid serves as the meticulous keeper of the Prism-Princess’s wardrobe and belongings.

Every garment, every piece of armor, every ceremonial sash is accounted for, maintained, and prepared in advance.

Her ledgers are flawless.

Her memory exact.

Her standards uncompromising.

In the dense clutter of travel trunks, shifting residences, and constant movement, Blathnaid is the one person who can locate anything at a moment’s notice.

To Rhiannon, this reliability is not convenience.

It is necessity.

Bound to the Prism-Princess

Blathnaid was chosen to serve Rhiannon long before the rise of imperial influence over Coill Mór.

Her role was never temporary.

It was foundational.

When Rhiannon was sent to the Palace of the Two Lights, Blathnaid followed, leaving behind the living structures of her homeland to impose that same sense of order within a foreign and often overwhelming court.

She did not struggle to adapt.

She reconstructed her environment.

The Discipline of Service

Blathnaid fulfills all the duties expected of a Lady-in-Waiting—managing correspondence, assisting with daily routines, supporting public appearances, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Yet her defining contribution lies in logistics.

She ensures that preparation is never lacking.

That timing is never disrupted.

That presentation is never compromised.

In a court where chaos often hides beneath elegance,

Blathnaid ensures that elegance is real.

Faith of Balance

Blathnaid’s devotion to Foraoise, Keeper of the Forest, is rooted in the principle of balance.

She does not express her faith through visible emotion or outward display.

She expresses it through precision.

Through the belief that every action, every placement, and every decision contributes to the greater harmony of the whole.

Her faith is not loud.

It is exact.

Legacy

Blathnaid does not seek recognition, nor does she require it.

Her work is rarely seen.

But it is always felt.

She is the reason nothing falls out of place.

The reason preparation never fails.

The reason order persists in a world constantly shifting.

In a court shaped by power and spectacle—

Blathnaid remains something far more essential.

The unseen system that keeps everything standing.
